Rails Tip: Installing plugins from github on windows

I recently upgraded to rails 2.3.2 and was having issues trying to install any plugins hosted at github until. But then after googling I finally found a solution that worked for me. Here is an example of the commandline:

<railsapp_root>ruby script/plugin install http://github.com/thoughtbot/paperclip.git/

IMPORTANT NOTE: replace git://github.com/thoughtbot/paperclip.git with this http://github.com/thoughtbot/paperclip.git/. Dont forget the trailing forward slash ‘/’ at the end.
